This winter, SHIKISAISHA presents Natsuko Yamazaki’s solo exhibition at Soba Restaurant SHABA. In this stylish space where tradition meets modernity, her works will shine with a new brilliance.

Now in its third edition, this exhibition will showcase Yamazaki’s unique artistic expressions.

Yamazaki creates semi-relief artworks using alkyd resin and glitter -materials often found in accessories to highlight the interplay of light and texture. Her works capture and reflect light, radiating a lustrous glow while shifting in appearance depending on the viewer’s perspective and the surrounding space. Embedded within her simple motifs are unspoken emotions and sentiments xperiences that can only be felt, not verbalized.

Artist Statement

Natsuko Yamazaki works are defined by their unique expression, born from a dialogue between light and material. Using alkyd resin and glitter materials commonly found in accessories she creates semi-relief pieces that transform with shifts in light and perspective.

In this exhibition, Yamazaki’s unspoken emotions and sentiments will resonate throughout the space of Soba Restaurant SHABA, creating new sensory experiences and emotional connections. Through her works, we invite viewers to step beyond the ordinary and experience a special, transcendent moment.

この冬、四季彩舎が蕎麦屋 SHABA でお届けする山﨑なつ子の個展。伝統とモダンが融合したスタイリッシュな空間に、彼女の作品が新たな輝きを添えます。

第3回目となる本展では、山﨑なつ子の個展を開催します。

山﨑は、アクセサリーにも使用されるアルキド樹脂とグリッターを画材に用い、光と素材の質感を際立たせた半立体的な作品を制作するアーティストです。彼女の作品は、光を集めて艶やかに輝き、視点や空間の変化に応じて表情を変える不思議な魅力を持っています。シンプルなモチーフに込められた、言葉にできない感情や想いをぜひ感じてください。
