Period: 2023.11.17 Fri. - 12.2 Sat.
Time: 12:00 - 18:30 closed mon, sun, national holidays
Venue: SHIKISAISHA GALLERY

SHIKISAISHA will be holding the second installment of "Monster", an exhibition by two artists whose work uses monsters as motifs.
Kobayashi uses Japanese painting techniques to convey fluid images in his head, such as what he is currently thinking about, everyday life, emotions, anger, sadness, and memories, using animals and other techniques. He makes it concrete as a monster and expresses it as a resident inside his own head.
Sanpei creates monsters in his head and expresses people he has seen in his life, events that have happened to him, his own complexes, social phenomena, and incidents that have occurred in the world.
We use a type of tempered glass called borosilicate glass, and use a technique called burner work, which involves placing the glass in a burner and melting it to form motifs.
Since last year's exhibition, Mayuno Kobayashi and Sanpei Glass have continued to be active both domestically and internationally.
Please enjoy the works created by these two artists using completely different materials and techniques, despite their common motif of monsters.
